Time for another update. The Green4 project is progressing steadily. In the last few months, we have been busy preparing the Green4 prototypes. Test software has been developed which is already very usable, but it is still in a state of flux as we try to determine which advanced features must be made available to our users.
Low-side switch solution
In the meantime, our energy2switch low-side switch board is availabe at ebay and at the IACS shop
High-side switch solution
We are also investigation the feasibility of the commercialization of our high-side switch board. But more on that later.
Publishing
Before starting on this project, we had created a buffer of 10 articles, since we had the intent to publish an article every week. Unfortunately, our buffer is now gone because most of the available time went to prototyping, software design and implementation. We feel that this will not change in the coming weeks. But as soon as we find some time and have a good subject, an new article will present itself. Our website does receive quite some attention considering the niche we find ourselves in, and weekly published articles sure help in attaining interest and traffic.
Green4 progress
Reviewing the activities of the past months, the hardware design proofed to be more than a handful: High current and high power applications are difficult and hard to get reliable. Also, the time we were able to spent on the project is limited by our other consulting activities. We need our “day job”, because our project does not generate any income yet. But, we are confident we will get there.
